As a Backend QA Tester, you will join the Backend Services team and ensure that the quality of our backend services meet the highest standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and customer support, to identify, escalate and resolve quality issues, as well as develop and maintain quality metrics and reports.
What you will do
Develop and implement the QA strategy, policies, procedures, and standards for the backend services teamWork closely with the development and product management teams to understand product requirements and communicate changesDevelop and execute manual and automated test plans, test cases, and scripts to ensure that products meet quality standardsPerform root cause analysis on quality issues and work with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actionsDevelop and maintain quality metrics and reports, and communicate quality status and progress to stakeholdersContinuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the QA processes, and identify areas for improvementCollaborate with customer support to identify, escalate and resolve quality issues reported by customers
Who you are
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or relevant technical ability At least 2 years of experience in software quality assurance or API testingKnowledge of API TEsting principles and best practicesProficiency in manual API Testing using Postman is a mustKnowledge of writing pre-request scripts and tests for automated test runs with Postman, is a plusKnowledge of Databases – performing transactions, running scripts etc.Demonstrated interest in developing and implementing QA strategies, policies, procedures, and standardsGood knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and techniquesExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teamsExperience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment is a plus
